Whose Standard Are You Flying?

God’s standard, His “banner”, the identification flag you fly to the world that you’re under God’s kingship and lordship, is his love.

When we show up to the battle dressed in the armor of light, (Ro. 13 and Eph. 6), flying the colors and pomp of the Lion of Judah, we are dressed in His righteousness and flying his standard of love. The enemy will take one look at that display, tremble, and flee.

However, if we show up to the battle in the armor of self-righteousness and the standard we wave is one of our own making, the enemy is more than happy to engage us on his field of victory.
